Important Information for Graduate Students
Welcome to Sewanee! Before you arrive on campus, there are some important things to know:
- Every Graduate Student is required to complete and submit our Graduate Student Immunization Form. Instructions on how to submit your required Immunization Form are included within the document.
- Students must send their required immunizations to University Health Service (UHS) in order to register for classes. There is no other health information required by the University. However, students who would like for UHS to have their medical records on file may send those records with their immunizations. The preferred and confidential method to send medical records is via fax or mail. Once your vaccines are reviewed and complete, this will be checked off for you by a UHS staff member in Slate on your admissions checklist.
Registered graduate students are eligible to be seen at UHS. Appointments are required, so call in advance at 931-598-1270. UHS will file insurance for your visit or can arrange a discounted self-pay charge to your student account. Students are responsible for notifying their insurance provider of their change of address so that coverage is not interrupted.
- Counseling and Psychological Services does not see graduate students, but are happy to refer them to someone in the local community.
