Dr. Mills spent a month in France this summer, working with rising senior major, Elara Sherman, on a collaborative research project "Enigmas on the Lyre", in which they read the work of 3 poets, including Wil Mills's, to look at how faith and doubt relate to and are expressed in poetry. While there, Dr. Mills used funds from a Mellon Globalization Forum grant to develop a course called “Mystery and Modern Life” (contemporary mysteries, both literary and popular, that explore national, existential, and social identities through the bifocal lens of immigration).
