PURPOSE
The courses of study leading to the Doctor of Ministry Degree are designed
to enable participants to attain excellence in the practice of ministry.
The courses of study are designed to provide
persons actively engaged in some form of professional ministry the opportunity
to develop further
the attitudes, skills, and knowledge which are essential to their ministry.
The D.Min. program
stresses the relationship between the practice of ministry and biblical,
historical and theological
knowledge. The level of class work in the D.Min. program is more advanced
than M.Div. work and
assumes the general knowledge acquired in an M.Div. program. The D.Min. program
is not intended
to prepare persons for teaching at the college or seminary level.
