More commonly known as the Green House, the Armentrout House prides itself on sustainability and green initiatives.


The Armentrout House hosts 11 students in its five rooms: four doubles and one triple. There is one shared full bath on the first floor, one full bath connected to the triple room and one shared full bath on the second floor. 

Average Bedroom Dimensions: Each room is unique in size and shape.
Average Window Dimensions: Each window is unique in size and shape.

Room Furnishings (based on a double occupancy room):

  • Two twin beds
  • Two built-in closets (rooms 104 and 204 have wardrobes)
  • Two dressers with five drawers each
  • Two desks with chairs
  • Two waste bins
  • One room phone and two Ethernet ports
  • Rooms 204 and 301 have carpet, while the other four rooms have hardwood floors
  • All windows are furnished with blinds


On the main floor of the house, residents enjoy studying and socializing in the large living room and kitchen. The living room is a large space with several couches and chairs for seating and is frequently used for large-scale programs hosted by the house.  The kitchen contains a stove top, oven, large sink, dishwasher, cabinet space, refrigerator, and microwave.  There is also a dining area connected to the kitchen.  Limited cooking supplies are provided. Students may wish to bring their own. A washing machine and dryer are located in the basement.

Residents of Armentrout also enjoy an outdoor patio, grill, screened in porch, and large yard.  Armentrout shares a parking lot with the residents in McCrady Hall.
