Humphreys Hall opened in Fall 2003 as the first new residence hall to be built on campus since 1968. It is named in honor of alumnus David Humphreys, C'79 and his wife Debra, who provided a gift to help make the project a reality. The lodge style building constructed with the traditional fieldstone exterior houses 118 men and women. Humphreys is located on the corner of Georgia and Mississippi Avenues, just down the street from Stirling's Coffee House.
Humphreys Hall has a mix of suite style rooms consisting of single, double or triple rooms in a variety of sizes. This design provides housing for all class years. There are 39 doubles, two triples and 34 singles; all singles are arranged in suites with a furnished living room. All rooms are carpeted and have enclosed blinds in the dual pane windows.
Double occupancy rooms are connected with a shared suite-style bathroom. All bathrooms include two sinks with countertop and lighted mirror, four small storage shelves, shower and a toilet. Showers come with standard white shower curtains.
