Feb. 12, 2019, marks a milestone in Sewanee's history. Today, the Stronger Truer Sewanee campaign surpassed its $250 million dollar goal.
Thanks to your extraordinary devotion and generosity, we have already accomplished so much for our University during this campaign.
We've raised over $58 million for scholarships and internships that provide access and value.
We've raised almost $50 million for a nimble and strong curriculum that prepares students for an exciting future.
We've raised nearly $30 million for new campus facilities like the Sewanee Inn, renovated athletic venues, new learning and social spaces, plus a new center for wellness.
We've raised over $25 million for the School of Theology, including over $10 million for facilities and $4.5 million for financial aid to educate tomorrow's church leaders with minimal debt.
Please know how much we appreciate all you have done, are doing, and will do for Sewanee.
Now we ask you to join us as we stretch to reach even higher to build the stronger, truer Sewanee of tomorrow.
Our focus in the five months remaining in this campaign will be to raise the funds to move us closer to our long-term goal of meeting 100 percent of the demonstrated need of every admitted student in the College and the School of Theology.
Campaign gifts and pledges in these last six months, in whatever amount and at whatever level, will be valuable, important, and meaningful.
If you are interested in a gift that goes beyond current-use dollars, named endowed internship funds begin at the $100,000 level. Named endowed scholarship funds begin at the $150,000 level for the College and $75,000 for the School of Theology.
