Religious Organizations on Campus

Sewanee is governed by twenty-eight owning
Dioceses of the Episcopal Church. Sewanee's historic
church tradition allows it to support
the religious preferences of all its students within the
context of providing a healthy worship experience.  As the
list below indicates, a number of different organizations
from across denominations and faiths are available
on campus.  If you have any questions, feel free to
contact the leaders of these groups, whose information
we have provided for you.

The Muslim Student Association is a group of
Sewanee students, faculty, and community members
who either practice the faith of Islam or who are
interested in the religion or the culture which surrounds
it.  Events and programs include dinners, informal
and formal discussions, and guest lectures.  All are
more than welcome to participate.  For more
information contact Richard Hubbard at
rhubbard@sewanee.edu or at 931-598-2728.

Young Life is a national Christian ministry dedicated
to High School Students. As Sewanee Young Life
leaders we minister to high school students from
Franklin County High School and Tullahoma High
School through the relationships we build with the
students and with each other. Through silly games,
quirky skits, both secular and praise music, we aim
to reach students on their level and present the love
of Christ to them. For more information, contact
Kaeley Bobbit at bobbikc0@sewanee.edu

FCA: The mission of FCA is to present to athletes
and coaches and all whom they
influence the challenge
and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior
and
Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the
fellowship of the
church. On Sewanee's campus we
fellowship weekly with bible studies and
fun games that
build community amongst student atheletes, coaches,
and
friends. For more information, contact D'Anthony
Allan at allendm0@sewanee.edu.

The Sewanee Catholic Community is a student-led
group comprised of University students, faculty, and

place to worship, grow spiritually, or to just de-stress
from all the demands of college life. The Catholic
Community offers a variety of weekly services, including
Mass at 7:30 pm Sunday evenings at the Chapel of the
Apostles. Group rosary prayer and confessions are
also available on a regular basis. All services are
come-as-you-are, casual, and open to anyone. Each
year, the Catholic Community seeks involvement in
local service projects, especially ones that will benefit
