Sewanee Review Awards for 2011   printer  

The Andrew Nelson Lytle Fiction Prize for the best story published in this magazine in 2011 is being awarded to Jeffrey N. Johnson for “Lost Among the Hedgerows,” to be found in the fall issue.  Johnson is a new contributor to the Sewanee Review.


The Walter Sullivan Prize for achievement in the criticism of fiction is being awarded to Laura Stevenson for “The Golden Age of Children’s Books” in our summer issue.


The Allen Tate Poetry Prize for the finest poetry published in this magazine in 2011 is being awarded to Marc Hudson for "Letter to Miranda," which appears in the summer issue.


The Robert B. Heilman Prize for excellence in book reviewing in this magazine in 2011 is being awarded to Phillip Parotti.  Mr. Parotti has been contributing to the Sewanee Review for over twenty years.


The Monroe K. Spears Essay Prize for the finest essay published in this magazine in 2011 is being awarded to Earl Rovit for "Literary Lives" in the spring issue.  Mr. Rovit has contributed to the magazine since 1985.
