Floyd Skloot will release his 17th book in March, 2014. A collection of essays, Revertigo: An Off-Kilter Memoir, revolves around the month long attack of vertigo which struck the author in 2009. As the book's press release explains, this horrific experience led Skloot to contemplate the nature of "how the forces of uncertainty and sudden change and displacement had shaped him since childhood, as it shapes many of us." Dinty W. Moore says that "this gentle, wise, and perceptive memoir never fails to surprise,” and Ron Slate calls it "a sophisticated yet highly entertaining example of how memoir should serve us." Mr. Skloot's work will appear in the forthcoming winter 2014 number.
