The beautiful historic Russian House is a center of Russian life
and culture in Sewanee, and home to five Russian language students and a native-language
director. Located next to the Womens Center on Louisiana Circle, the house is
the site of many Russian Department functions including Tea-Time, film viewing,
parties (literary and otherwise), and the Tsarist Ball. In addition, The Russian-House
Director holds daily visitation hours for discussion and conversation with students.
Our director for Easter semester 2003 is Galina, native of Petersburg, Russia.
