The Sewanee Speaking and Listening Festival showcases student speakers from across the university engaging topics of political, social, scientific, cultural, and professional significance. 

This year's festival, held from April 23-26, will feature six contests: 

*Ethical Critiques of Business Practices

*Public Speaking in English as a Second Language

*Speaking Science to the Public

*Public Speaking in a Non-English Second Language I: Beginning Speakers

*Public Speaking in a Non-English Second Language II: Advanced Speakers

*Public Speaking Contest 

Panels of judges select the winners of each contest, and members of the campus and local community are invited to attend.
