WORK ORDER DESK:
TO REQUEST WORK ORDER:
There are several ways to place a Work Order Request. The preferred method is to send an email to email@example.com. Simply type “pps” and you’re ready to go. Give as much information as you like in your e-mail. You’ll receive a return e-mail giving you the work order number or numbers for your reference.
Another method is to use the TMA iService Desk at http://www.sewanee.edu/workreq/. Here you can submit a Work Request. Using a series of drop-down lists, you’ll be able to submit your request by building and room location. The Work Request form allows for only one request to be addressed at a time, so if you have a burned out light in your office and the A/C isn’t working very well, you’d need to submit two requests. You may just prefer to use the “pps” e-mail.
If your request is urgent or if you need to ask some questions first, call the Work Order Desk at ext. 1264.
If there is an emergency after normal office hours or if you experience a delay in reaching someone at ext. 1264, call the police dispatcher at ext. 1111. He or she will be able to reach the proper on-call person.
TO GET STATUS ON EXISTING WORK REQUEST:
You can get the status of an existing Work Order by entering the Work Order number at the TMA iService Desk or by e-mailing “pps.”
A common Work Order request is for keys. Generally, these requests should come through your department Chair, as your department budget will be charged for this service. Key Request Form
