Joint Spring Meeting of the TAAPT and the Zone 8 SPS

7,8 April 2000

The Tennessee section will hold its annual meeting on the Campus of

Chattanooga State Technical Community College (CSTCC) in Chattanooga,

Tennessee on Friday, 7 April, and Saturday, 8 April. Physics faculty from

Tennesse and from all regional high schools, colleges, and universities are

cordially invited to atttend. In addition, area SPS members are invited to

attend a concurrant regional meeting at CSTCC. So bring your students with

you to present results of their research or just to meet physics majors and

faculty from other universities and colleges. (More information will be

Registration begins Friday evening at 6 p.m. on campus in the faculty

dining hall on corridor 2 of the Omniplex Building. The banquet begins at

7 p.m. followed by the evening's speaker.

The meeting will continue at 8 a.m. Saturday morning in room C-30 of the

Center for Advanced Technology. Contributed papers will be given in 15

minute intervals. The luncheon, a barbecue, will be in the Riverpark area

behind the school if weather permits.

The program and a map to CSTCC will be posted on the TAAPT web site, and

notices will be sent a month before the meeting. The Web site is
