Prof. Jim Peterman

Steven J. Conifer is a senior majoring in philosophy at Marshall University. He is the former president of R.U.S.H. (Rationalists United for Secular Humanism), a campus freethought group at MU. A four-time speaker at the West Virginia Philosophical Society, he has authored numerous essays in the philosophy of religion, many of which have been published on the Secular Web at www.infidels.org/library/modern/steven_conifer

He has also produced a compilation of those essays under the title The Plausibility of Atheism: Eight Essays in the Philosophy of Religion, which he hopes to publish in the coming year. In addition to the philosophy of religion, his philosophical interests include epistemology, logic, and the philosophy of language. He plans to graduate next spring and then attend graduate school.
