The University of the South is located in Sewanee, Tennessee, five miles from Interstate 24, 50 miles northwest of Chattanooga and 90 miles southeast of Nashville.
Take I-24 (East or West) to the Monteagle/Sewanee exit (exit 134). From either direction, turn left from the exit ramp onto US 64/41A toward Sewanee. After traveling approximately 4 miles and passing through the stone pillars, bear right toward Sewanee. This is University Avenue and leads to the center of campus.
From Huntsville, Alabama, and surrounding areas, one should connect onto US 64/41A near Winchester and then through Cowan, Tennessee, to Sewanee.
Sewanee is approximately 5 miles from Monteagle, 14 miles from Winchester, 17 miles from South Pittsburg, and 21 miles from Manchester, Tennessee. The closest commercial airports are in Chattanooga (located on the east side of that city) and Nashville (located on the east side of that city).
