Advent Semester 2008
August 23, Saturday - Dormitories open only for new students and returning students associated with term-beginning programs. First meal served at dinner.
August 24, Sunday - Orientation program begins for new students.
August 26, Tuesday - Registration for new students. (Consult the orientation schedule for specific times).
August 26,Tuesday - Dormitories open for returning students not associated with term-beginning programs.
August 28, Thursday - Classes with a Thursday meeting time begin at 8:00 a.m. Comprehensive examination period 1 begins.
August 29, Friday - Classes with a Friday meeting time begin at 8:00 a.m
September 3, Wednesday - Last day to drop or add a course online.
September 5, Friday - Last day to remove an Incomplete in 444/440 courses from Easter Semester.
September 6, Saturday - Comprehensive examinations period 1 ends.
September 10, Wednesday - Last day to add without the approval of the Associate Dean.
September 12, Friday - Last day to declare a major for students planning to comp in the Easter 2009 semester.
September 24, Wednesday - Last day to drop a course so that it does not appear on record.
October 3-5, Friday, Saturday & Sunday - Family Weekend.
October 7, Tuesday - Founders’ Day.
October 15, Wednesday - Mid-Semester. Last day to declare a course Pass/Fail. Last
Day to Drop without the approval of the Associate Dean. Last day to declare a minor or concentration for seniors graduating in
May 2009 who will not be enrolled in Easter 2009 semester.

October 24 & 25, Friday & Saturday - College Alumni Homecoming & Fall Fest.

November 1, Saturday - All Saints’ Day. University Corporate Communion.
November 3, Monday - Last day to drop a course with a W instead of a WF.
