Announcing a New Faculty Book Group, facilitated by Dean Papillon

A note from Dean Papillon: We are in the process of conducting a review of the Babson Center for Global Commerce as it transitions to a new director. One of the things we will look at is how well integrated the work of that center has been with the college as a whole. Thus, I would like to lead a faculty reading group this spring of a book that deals with this very issue and ask up to 15 faculty members to join me in a reading group.

The book is Rethinking Undergraduate Business Education by Colby, Ehrlich, Sullivan, and Dolle (Jossey-Bass 2011). Sullivan is a long-standing active person in the Carnegie Foundation and will be visiting campus in March, so the participating faculty will have the chance to interact with him as well.

If you would like to join this group, please let Betsy know ASAP so we can order enough copies:

Days for the discussion are as follows. Place TBA:

Monday, 2/20 from 1:30-2:30: pp. vii-xviii and 1-50  (62pp)

Monday, 4/10 from 1:30-2:30:  pp. 51-131 (81pp)

Monday 4/24 from 1:30-2:30: pp. 132-179 (48pp)

We will cap the group at approximately 15 people, so please sign up soon if interested.
