Three Sewanee students are the first recipients of a newly designated scholarship opportunity to participate in the Accelerator Summer Business Program at Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.

Those receiving scholarships this year are Jack Carter, C’19, an economics major from Little Rock, Arkansas; Martin Tang, C’19, an economics major from Wuhan, China; and Derek Hullings, C’19, a mathematics major from Ewing, New Jersey.

The Vanderbilt Accelerator Program is a four-week immersion experience that combines intensive instruction in business fundamentals with real-world consulting internships at leading companies. It is designed specially for non-business majors.

The Sewanee-Vanderbilt Accelerator Scholarships are the newest addition to the Babson Center for Global Commerce’s extensive range of scholarships and internships for students planning careers in business, entrepreneurship, and social entrepreneurship.
