The mission of the E.L. Kellerman Language Resource Center is to provide technological support to students and faculty in the modern foreign languages and to provide a venue to hear and speak the target language.
We are located in Gailor 225 on the second floor.
We are equipped with:
- A Sympodium for multimedia displays
- Rosetta Stone Language Software for Arabic, Chinese, French, Gaelic (Irish), German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Thai, Turkish
- A 20 station Sanako Lab 100 system (for textbook audio and voice recording)
- A Macbook Laptop Cart with 18 laptops available for check out
- Satellite TV with stations in Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish programming
- A strong collection of foreign language books, movies and magazines
- Subscriptions to Yabla (French, Spanish, German)
- Audio and video editing equipment.
On this website, you will find links to the different listening exercises. These audio and video files can only be reached if you are accessing them from campus. These exercises can also be done in the language lab. This is actually advantageous, because you can take advantage of the superior sound quality, and make recordings of your own voice and play them back or save the recordings.
