Student Engagement
Sewanee participates in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and its companion survey of faculty, FSSE.
Through its student survey, The College Student Report, NSSE annually collects information at hundreds of four-year colleges and universities about student participation in programs and activities that institutions provide for their learning and personal development. The results provide Sewanee with a means of comparing our students’ responses to the student survey, The College Student Report, with those of our strategic planning peer group. These surveys also provide comparative data for the Carnegie Class group (a Liberal Arts classification), and the NSSE nationwide group that includes all participating institutions.
