The Sewanee Inn and Rebel’s Rest have a total of 30 guest rooms available to accommodate University visitors and guests. These convenient facilities may be used by the following persons:

• University employees, alumni, regents and trustees and their guests
• Parents of past, current, and potential students
• Residents of the domain and their guests
• Members of the Golf and Tennis Club
• Vendors or contractors conducting business with the University
• Participants in all Sewanee conferences and seminars including summer programs
• Anyone attending a University event, concert or sporting event
• Persons affiliated with the Episcopal Church
• Job candidates

Sewanee Inn

The Sewanee Inn is located on the campus of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. The Inn has 21 guest rooms. Rooms #1 and #7 are deluxe rooms equipped with a remote controlled fireplace, microwave and refrigerator. Room #1 is also handicapped accessible. Room #10 is the suite. It is equipped with a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and has a separate living room. The suite has a queen size bed, a living room and kitchen and opens right into the Hospitality room. It is really three rooms in one! All of the rooms have cable television, personal phone with voicemail, wireless internet access, private bathroom, and are non-smoking. The rooms also include a continental breakfast and use of the Hospitality Room. 

• Two fireplace rooms, #1 has a queen bed and sleeper sofa and #7 has a king bed and sleeper sofa.

Rebel’s Rest

Rebel's Rest is located in the center of campus and is a stone's throw away from the University chapel. Rebel's Rest is set up like a bed and breakfast. The house has nine bedrooms. There is one upstairs room with a king-size bed and five other rooms (two downstairs and three upstairs) with one queen-size bed each. The other three upstairs rooms have two twin-size beds each. It is known for its historical significance and peaceful beauty. All the rooms do have private baths and personal phones with voice mail. Rooms D, E, F, H and J have small televisions and the entire house has wireless internet access. Guests can also enjoy sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch or visiting with other guests in the sitting room. A continental breakfast is served every morning in the kitchen.

Fireplace rooms (#1 and #7 at Sewanee Inn) are $90 per night plus tax - $98.33
Suite is $121 per night plus tax -$132.19
All other rooms are $77 per night plus tax - $84.12

Room availability is subject to the needs of the University. For reservations call (931) 598-1686. Reservations for Sewanee Inn and Rebel’s Rest rooms are taken six months in advance. For official University business reservations there is no advance time limitation. Book early for your event or guest. A waiting list may be started for any date the Guest Rooms become full. Guests on waiting list are called in strict order as soon as any room is cancelled. Please note that a waiting list is automatically started six months in advance for the dates of Family Weekend, Homecoming, and Commencement because the University holds these rooms for those guests crucial to the events.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation is necessary at times. Our policy: no problem up until a week prior to scheduled arrival; after one week, guest is responsible for full payment unless vacancy created can be filled.

Absolutely no pets are allowed in the University Guest Rooms. Please observe this policy to keep our rooms fresh and clean for all guests including those with pet allergies.

Smoking is prohibited in all rooms.
