The National Council of Teachers of English The NCTE's 77,000 members worldwide share the common goal of improving the teaching and learning of English at all levels.  It's home page gives English teachers the opportunity to browse research and journal articles and communicate with fellow teachers.  The site also boasts a section devoted to new teachers.

6.) Children's Literature Web Guide The Children's Literature Web Guide grew out of an attempt to gather together and categorize the growing number of Internet resources related to books for Children and Young Adults.  The site includes book award listings, book reviews, discussion boards, and a listing of resources for parents and teachers.

The Write Site Within this interactive Language Arts and Journalism page, middle-school students take on the roles of journalists by generating leads, gathering facts, and writing stories.  The Write Site intends to improve student writing skills while helping teachers integrate technology into their classrooms.
