of azurite (blue) and quartz (colorless) was taken with the 20x objective. The azurite crystal is angular, crystalline, rectangular. The quartz crystals are angular, crystalline, irregular. Conchoidal fractures may be observed with the higher resolution of the microscope itself. Many particles within a sample should be examined to obtain a consensus on the shape. |
