How to view MPEG movies
If you are not using a Macintosh computer, please refer to this page.
Mac Users:
Choose menu Options/General Preferences../Helpers, what you will see is
a box with the following headings: Mime Type (mimetype), Application (subtype),
Action, and Extension. If you can find "video/mpeg" under the
column "Mime Type" in this box, your Netscape has already been
set up to view MPEG movies, and you may skip the following part. However,
if your Macintosh is using the old version of Sparkle, the movie may seem
very slow; you may want to download the newer version 2.5.4
here.
If you do so, you have to go through the following steps to reset-up your
Netscape helper application.
If you cannot find "video/mpeg" setting, do the following:
1. Click the button "New" under the box
2. Enter "video" in the Mime type box and "mpeg" in
the Mime subtype box.
3. Enter "mpeg, mpg, mpe" in the Extensions box.
4. Choose "Launch Application."
5. Click the "Browse.." button and locate the application "Sparkle."

6. Clik OK.
