| Transmitted light First turn the microscope on with the switch marked ON/OFF. Then turn up the lamp intensity with the slide to the desired intensity. When the microscope will not be in use for several minutes at a time, turn the intensity down to preserve the lamp. To turn off the microscope first turn down the lamp intensity, then turn the power off. This is important to maximize the lifetime of the lamp. For transmitted light with this microscope the lamp is housed in the base. |
