Community Outreach
For the past 10 years, Sewanee students, from the college and seminary alike, have been actively involved in helping and serving others through the Community Outreach Office and the Community Service Council.
Student commitment to social responsibility has always been a large part of the University's history and tradition. As an entering or returning student, you now have the opportunity to become a part of this ongoing endeavor ... not only at the local level, but also in the larger community that lies beyond the gates of the Domain. There are tremendous needs to "make a difference" in this world. Our hope is that you will join in accepting our challenge to experience some kind of outreach work during your time here on the Mountain. Experience has taught us that in serving others, often times we too are served.
