What do you do?
International Business Development

How did you get your current job?
I did business with my current company; internal referrals make a world of difference.

What do you like about your position?
Traveling around the world and learning about new Cultures. Also, helping companies in developing countries to grow their businesses.

What do you dislike about your position?
Traveling all the time makes keeping in touch with friends and family difficult at times.

What kind of people do well in your career field?
Adventurous, motivated, detail oriented, and willing to take big risks.

What activities where you involved in while at Sewanee?
Field Hockey, Outreach, Sorority, White Ribbon.

Did any of your summer jobs or internships influence your thinking about careers after college?
A summer internship at a TV station in Boston gave me a good sense that business was the best place for me.

What advice would you give to students interested in working in your field?
Learn at least two languages and one should be Mandarin.

How can students best prepare themselves while still at Sewanee?
Learn Chinese.

What would you do differently?
Learned to speak a language fluently.
