Are you thinking about a career or internship in diplomacy? Thinking of joining the Foreign Service and serving as a diplomat or working in an embassy overseas? If so, now is the time to learn about the many options for careers and internships with the U.S. Department of State! Vallera Gibson, Recruitment and Outreach Officer with the State Department, will talk about the many options available in the Foreign Service, both in diplomacy and in diplomatic support services. All majors are welcome as these agencies hire liberal arts majors, engineers, IT experts, nurses, psychologists, social workers, financial managers, and many others. The presentation will cover the hiring process, the various types of careers available, as well as internships and fellowships for which students may apply.
Ms. Gibson will host two information sessions on Tuesday, November 27 in McClurg Room C (upstairs). The sessions will begin at 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - students are welcome to bring a tray! All faculty and majors are encouraged to attend.
