“I definitely would not have come here had I not attended the Bridge Program.”

Four of the ten Bridge Program alums currently attending Sewanee.

Bridge Program grads at Sewanee are involved in all aspects of campus life. Many of them hold leadership positions on campus and in the dorms. Several are involved in the chapel outreach program and plan to take spring break outreach. Recently, a Bridge grad started the show choir "Sewanee Sound." One was elected to the Student Assembly. Another holds elected office in the Muslim Student Union. Some take part in the "Big People for Little People" program that pairs elementary school students with college students who act as mentors and friends to their young counterparts. We’ve had a Goldwater Scholarship nominee in our group, as well as several DuPont, Chancellor and other scholars. Sports, gospel choir and modern dance keep some of these active and involved students busy. Majors include math, political science, psychology, and biology. Several bridge grads plan to attend medical school after graduation.
