Men's Soccer:

Sewanee Downs Wash U 2-1

(Chicago, IL) --   Andrew North scored the winning goal in the 64th minute on an assist from Ryan Davis as the Sewanee (#4 Central Region) men’s soccer team improved to 3-0 on the season with a 2-1 win against Washington Univ. (Mo., #7 Central Region) in the SCAC-UAA Challenge here Friday.

Sewanee plays Chicago Univ. here Saturday at noon.

Sewanee’s Kyle Johnston tied the match at 1-1 in the 30th minute with his second goal of the season on an assist by North.

NEXT MATCH: The 3rd Annual SCAC-UAA Challenge continues Sunday as Sewanee takes on host Chicago U. at noon. In Friday’s second match, Chicago defeated Rhodes College, 2-1.

Sewanee has now 4-0-1 in the Challenge and is 2-0-1 vs. WashU. Sewanee beat Chicago, 4-0, last season and 2-0 in 1999.
