Men's Soccer:

Sewanee Defeats Greenville, 2-0

(Greenville, Ill.) --   Sophomore Thomas Smythe (Charleston, S.C/Taft) and junior Brady Garvich (Signal Mtn./McCallie School) scored goals as Sewanee won its seventh straight match in a 2-0 victory against Greenville College here Monday.

Smythe broke a scoreless tie in the 48th minute on an assist by David Allen (Lexington, Ky./Catholic), while Garvich scored in the 76th minute, also on an assist by Allen.

Sewanee improves to 11-2 on the season and plays at Blackburn College (Carlinville, Ill.) on Tuesday.

Sewanee goalkeeper Paul Roper (Richmond, Va./Collegiate) posted his fifth shutout of the season and 18th of his career.

HOMECOMING: Sewanee hosts Fisk on Friday at 3 p.m. CDT for Homecoming.
