Donald Charles Huber

Don Huber joined the University of the South Department of Classical Languages in 1996. Before moving to Sewanee, he taught for six years in the Department of Classics at Vanderbilt University. He received his M.A. from Brown University and Ph.D. from Vanderbilt. In addition to teaching Greek and Latin, Dr. Huber is the director of the interdisciplinary Humanities program, in which he teaches in the Ancient and Medieval sections. His scholarly interests range from Epic and Lyric Poetry to numismatics and comparative mythology. Dr. Huber’s wife, Sukey, who has also taught Greek at the University, currently works as a development officer for Sewanee. Don and Sukey are the parents of daughter Georgette.G
