Tennessee Williams Center: Proctor Hill Theatre
Under the artistic direction of Courtney World, Theatre Sewanee produces the fifth annual performance of DanceWise.
This dance concert will feature performances by twelve Sewanee students, as well as choreographic premieres by Courtney World, assistant professor of dance, and student choreographers Alyssa Holley, C’18, Danielle Silfies, C’19, and Robin Kate Davis, C’21.
Student dancers will perform Fawning, choreographed by guest artist Banning Bouldin, artistic director of Nashville-based New Dialect, and World will perform the duet Shifting, with guest choreographer and performer Daniel Gwirtzman, artistic director of New York City-based Daniel Gwirtzman Dance Company.
Student performances by Annie Corley, Robin Kate Davis, Margaret Deane, Adelle Dennis, Paige Greenberg, Caroline Greenhalgh, Alyssa Holley, Juliana Morgan, Macy Ninness, Julia Peacock, Danielle Silfies, and Meredith Stuber.
Costume design by Kalynn Harrington, C’18. Lighting design by production intern Cynna Bradford, Will Burton-Edwards, C’18, Liz Estes, C’18, Krystal Fowler, C’19, and Alena Kochinski, C’18.
