Students receiving financial aid
may be able to apply that aid to study abroad, a practice called "portable funding." The document linked below is a page taken from the
Student Guide to Financial Aid. Please read it carefully.
You need to know:
- Students attending Sewanee's own programs abroad also need to apply for portable funding
- Portable funding may apply to merit aid and need-based aid.
- Receiving portable aid requires a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in the major, 2.5 overall, and a satisfactory plan.
- Deadlines for applying are critical: October 10 for spring 2012 programs; February 15 for fall 2012 programs.
