Students receiving financial aid
may be able to apply that aid to study abroad, a practice called "portable funding." The document linked below is a page taken from the
Student Guide to Financial Aid. Please read it carefully.
You need to know:
- Students attending Sewanee's own programs abroad also need to apply for portable funding
- Portable funding applies to merit aid, need-based aid, and tuition remission/exhange
- Receiving portable aid depends on a cummulative GPA of 3.0 in the major and 2.5 over all
- Deadlines for applying are important: October 10 for spring programs; February 15 for fall programs.
