Tertulia Schedule for the Spring Semester

Wednesday, February 7 at 7:00pm: Open House
Meet the residents of the Spanish House, with some typical Hispanic dishes.

Wednesday, February 21 at 7:00pm: Trivia Night
Do roasted crickets go well with Tequila??  Trivia Night's theme will be "Spanish and Latin American stereotypes and strange traditions".  Each team will have to decide if certain traditions and practices are true or false. There will be prizes for the winners!

Wednesday, March 28 at 7:00pm: Figuras Femininas
Meet some giants among women! Each member of the Spanish House will represent a relevant Spanish/Hispanic woman and prepare a review of her life and career, even dressing like her.  A feminist wax museum! Guests can interview these Spanish and Hispanic heroines.  The Spanish House will be decorated with paintings and other things related to the chosen women (+food and drinks).

Saturday, April 14 at 1:00pm: Feria de Abril
Feria de Abril (The Seville Fair)  is held in the Andalusian capital of Seville, Spain. The fair generally begins two weeks after the Easter Holy Week and runs six days, ending on the following Sunday. Each day the fiesta begins with the parade of carriages and riders, along with music and people celebrating. Men and women dress up in their finery, ideally the "trajes de flamenca/o" (flamenco-style dress). House members will gonna dress up, and there will be traditional music, food and beverages.
