Elizabeth A. Skomp

Elizabeth Skomp teaches courses in Russian language, literature, culture, and film and also teaches in Sewanee's interdisciplinary Humanities program. She has directed several iterations of the Sewanee Summer in Russia program in St. Petersburg. Her published scholarship focuses on Russian women's writing and contemporary Russian literature, including Ludmila Ulitskaya and the Art of Tolerance (University of Wisconsin Press, 2015; co-authored with Benjamin Sutcliffe). Prior to coming to Sewanee, Professor Skomp taught at Williams College, DePauw University, and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
