Hamby publishes weapon violence exposure study in Pediatrics, quoted in LA Times

Research Professor Sherry Hamby recently published a nationally-representative study of children's exposure to weapon violence in the medical journal Pediatrics.  The LA Times picked up the story and discussed the findings of the study with Hamby.  The most compelling findings are that over one quarter of U.S. children have been exposed to weapon violence, as a victim or a witness, and that being a witness or being a victim makes little difference in the traumatic outcomes associated with exposure.
