This year, the Medieval Colloquium will hold a special seminar on April 14 at 1 PM on the topic Medieval Race and the Modern Scholar, led by Geraldine Heng (University of Texas, Austin) and Cord Whitaker (Wellesley College). The seminar will feature a discussion of how medieval notions of race have been and are being used in current racial discourses. On Sunday, April 15, Drs. Heng and Whitaker will host a working lunch with Sewanee students. If you are interested in being included in this free lunchtime workshop, please contact Matthew Irvin at email@example.com.
