Dr. Dann Wigner is Instruction and Information Literacy Librarian at the University of the South. Before coming to Sewanee, Wigner taught for more than a decade in various universities in the disciplines of research methods, research writing, information literacy, library resources, education, theology, and religious studies.
Wigner has specialized for the last fifteen years in various library disciplines, including the development and implementation of information literacy initiatives and college class bibliographic instruction. He has authored articles for Theological Librarianship, Spiritus: The Journal of the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality, and Perspectives in Religious Studies. Wigner is also a current reviewer for the Religion & Philosophy section of CHOICE: Current Reviews for Academic Libraries. He has two books forthcoming in 2018: A Sociology of Mystic Practices: Use and Adaptation in the Emergent Church (Wipf and Stock)and Just Begin…: A Sourcebook of Spiritual Practices (Church Publishing).
Wigner is an active member of the American Theological Library Association and the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality.
