Jesse Schupack

"Humanities taught me that the orthodoxies of today cannot be properly understood or critiqued without first studying their roots in the thought of our progenitors. It gave me an appreciation for the traditions we have inherited but also cultivated in me the view that my beliefs should continually be questioned and examined. The Humanities sequence was an integral part of my intellectual development at Sewanee, and it gave me a broad historical perspective that has proved invaluable in my studies in philosophy."
