Hippocrates Fellows Program

In addition to pursuing rigorous pre-medical training in the freshman year and the summer following it, Hippocrates Fellows serve as ambassadors for the Office of Medical and Health Programs, both on and off campus. For students with career goals in medicine, the designation as a Hippocrates Fellow brings with it a mark of distinction and special opportunities to ensure a strong start to the pre-medical experience at Sewanee during the freshman year and continued success beyond.

Incoming first-year students are required to demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and interest in health professions. Successful applicants will demonstrate this through their high school activities and curriculum, as well as through their thoughtful consideration of application questions that aim to evaluate critical thinking and leadership skills.  The deadline for receipt of applications to become a Hippocrates Fellow is April 1. Applicants will be notified of the decision on their application by April 15.
