Diabetes Education Fellows are making a difference in our community. This spring marks the one-year anniversary of Eat Well. Be Well., a diabetes prevention program developed by Sewanee students in coordination with Certified Diabetes Educator Karen Gilson, MD. Our goal is to help community members take control of their health and prevent type 2 diabetes through lifestyle changes.

Medical Immersion in Tanzania

Caroline Sweetin, C’20, spent her summer scribing and shadowing in Dodoma, Tanzania. The highlight of her summer was shadowing an ophthalmologist when he helped a 6-year-old see for the first time.
