Game Night at the OMHP

Pre-health students gathered for a favorite fellowship event: Medical Board Games Night. This time we brought back childhood memories by playing Operation in between answering trivia questions and acting out disease states. 

Sweat, Medicine and Admiration

V-SURE: Research, Cardiology, and Trauma

Mesgana Dangachew, C’20 and Virginia Farley, C’20 spent the summer shadowing physicians and conducting research at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. They share their experiences shadowing Director of VUMC’s Fetal Cardiology Program Dr. Ann Kavanaugh-McHugh and renowned trauma surgeon Dr. Rick Miller.

Rural Health Care

While many students spent their summers interning at well-funded practices and hospitals, Natalie Paige Griffin, C’20 and Tori Beth Surratt, C’20 had their eyes opened to another side of health care: they worked at local clinics providing health care to uninsured and underinsured patients.
