Dr. Apgar's Work with Spatial Humanities Published

Professor Apgar co-edited a volume of the International Journal of Humanities and Arts Computing on the spatial humanities in a liberal arts context. This volume features contributions from participants in a duPont Summer Seminar at the National Humanities center in 2016. Dr. Apgar's article is based on digital itineraries created by students in German 354 that then served as a starting point for exploration with "Sewanee in Berlin" students in summer 2017. His article, Emplacing Berlin: Digital Itineraries and Short-Term Study Abroad in the City, discusses a tour designed by Morgan Carroll, a German minor graduating this May.
