I study material properties at extreme conditions to better understand the constitution and evolution of planetary interiors. My current focus is on combining theoretical ab initio calculations and high-pressure, high-temperature experiments to better constrain the distribution and cycling of hydrogen in the deep Earth.


I teach GEOL 221: Mineralogy and GEOL 320: Igneous and Metamorphic Petrology.
