Sustainability tour in Nashville


Sewanee's Integrated Program in the Environment and Office of Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability are teaming up to send a van of students to Nashville to tour green urban projects with Dr. Dodd Galbreath of Lipscomb University's Institute for Sustainable Practice.

The tour will include stops at the following places:

  • West Fork of Browns Creek Stream Buffers - Suburban Riparian Assessment for Plantings
  • Galbreath Home Solar PV & Suburban Rain Gardens
  • Monroe Harding Urban Forest Restoration - Suburban Riparian Planting Restoration
  • LEED ND One City, Urban Bioretention Basins & Shipping Crate Offices
  • LEED Platinum Fire Station 19 & Solar PV and Urban Bioretention Basins
  • LEED Silver Lentz Health Department - Porous Paving and Urban Bioretention Basins
  • Vanderbilt Solar Car Charging & LEED Buildings
  • LEED ND Certified Gulch & "Complete Streets" - Urban Linear Bioretention Basins
  • SOBRO - Drive by 29 LEED Buildings (See Map Provided)
  • LEED Gold Music City Center & "Complete Streets" - Urban Linear Bioretention Basins
