Commissioner of Agriculture visits Sewanee

Jai Templeton, Tennessee's Commissioner of Agriculture, visited Sewanee this week along with State Forester Jere Jeter and the board of the Tennessee Forestry Association to tour the Domain and see recent management projects. Vice Chancellor McCardell addressed the group at the Sewanee Inn and took time to mention the locally harvested wood used in construction of the Inn. The group visited All Saint's Chapel to see the stained glass window depicting Gifford Pinchot and toured Compartment 22, the site of our most recent forest management operation. The visit was coordinated by the OESS and SIPE.
