Training the Street: Corporate Valuation

TTS logo

The main goal of this Training the Street workshop on corporate valuation is to assist candidates seeking employment on Wall Street, but the session will be enjoyable to anyone interested in the broader field of business valuations and how to determine pricing for a business.  Through the examination of a recent acquisition, the workshop illustrates the fundamentals of popular valuation techniques.  The in-depth discussion of valuation fundamentals provides a framework for interpreting and analyzing financial statements, emphasizing key accounting concepts and their practical applications.  The workshop also highlights key valuation concepts such as EBITDA, Enterprise Value, WACC, accretion/dilution and LBOs.  The session is full of practical examples, therefore financial calculators are strongly recommended and excel spreadsheet usage will be taught.

There are no prerequisites for this workshop as it is intended to provide a solid foundation of practical valuation methodologies.  However, those possessing prior accounting, financial statement analysis and corporate finance knowledge will benefit more from the content discussed.
