Sewanee student a Planet Forward Storyfest 2018 winner

Vanessa Moss, C'20, was named one of the 2018 Planet Forward Storyfest winners. Vanessa won in the category of  "Best Scalable Innovation" with the title project From waste to wetlands: A small town solution to water scarcity. She and the other grand prize winners will have the opportunity to explore Alaska’s coastal wilderness with Lindblad Expeditions this coming June.

Moss and the other winners will travel to Alaska for an 8-day voyage between Sitka and Juneau aboard the National Geographic Sea Lion with Lindblad-National Geographic photo instructors, naturalists, and scientists to explore Alaska’s coastal wilderness.

“The Planet Forward Storyfest winners brought together commitment, information, and storytelling to spark our imaginations and inspire us,” said Frank Sesno, director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at George Washington University, and chief executive at Planet Forward. “They are already moving the planet forward.”

“The stories our students will tell aboard ship will showcase the incredible ecosystems of one of the last frontiers,” added Sesno.
