Sewanee Students Attend Eid al-aDHa Observance

Dr. Sara Nimis and 7 students of Arabic spent the morning at the Islamic Center of Chattanooga to witness festivities for Eid al-aDHa, an Islamic festival commemorating Abraham's sacrifice.  Students attended prayers, a sermon, and a feast at the center in Chattanooga. Back in Sewanee, Arabic students met with members of Sewanee Interfaith for a meal at McClurg where Chef Rick Wright prepared a dish of saffron rice, vegetables, and lamb.
