The bibliography does not claim to be exhaustive in scope. It does, however, represent what we believe will be a significant contribution to the bibliography choices currently available on the internet.
Vanderbilt library does not own every important book on Judaica, and the Judaica Bibliography cites only Vanderbilt holdings. In spite of these limitations, however, some degree of comprehensiveness has at times been achieved.
The bibliography contains little or no periodical or journal entries.
Records from Vanderbilt Librarys database (ACORN) have been copied and pasted as is; little or no attempt has been made to systematize the capitalization, transliteration diacritics, or highlighting of titles.
Call numbers are given; specific library locations (i.e., Divinity, Judaica, Central, etc.), as a rule, are not.
With the exception of the Wiener Holocaust Library, micromedia holdings have only rarely been added to the bibliography.
